This step-by-step walk-through will show you exactly how to create free business Email & use it with Gmail. But before going further, make sure you a Domain name. Now i will be using Godaddy as an example. Here are the steps;
Login to your Domain Provider’s Website
If you’re using Godaddy.com, then login into the Cpanel, enter username & password and click enter.
Enable Email Forwarding
This will forward all your mails coming to your business email address to Gmail. Click on “Workspace Email” then click on setup and again. Now email forwarding has being added to your account. Then click on “Manage”, then of “Create Forward” a pop out window appears then you fill in by entering in your email address. Next you enter a existing Gmail address you want to forward it to then click on create.
Create a Zoho mail Account
Zoho is a free email service, which handles sending of email from our domain. By using Zoho, we can avoid paying separately for our business email. Go to zoho.com/mail then click sign up, sign up on the free package, then you enter in your details, click on sign up, then you will be prompt to enter a code sent to your mobile. Then click on “verify code”
Click continue setup.
Verify your Domain
Choose your host provider from a drop down list. Next enter the details displayed on your screen on Godaddy page. Go back to your Godaddy account, go to “Product” then Domain, click on “manage” click on “Add” choose CNAME and enter the details from Zoho account, click on save. Go back to Zoho site click on proceed and verify, now click on Create Account, click skip until you get SPF/DKIM, copy the text value then go to Godaddy then select TXT and add. Then go back to Zoho, now click on next until you get to Mail Client Configuration
Connect your Zoho Account to Gmail
This will allow Gmail to send emails from our domain. Open your Gmail Account, then go settings, then click on “Account and Import”, now add another email address, then fill in SMTP Server name and port as 465, enter a new username and same password you used to create a Zoho Account. Gmail will send you a confirmation message, copy the confirmation code and paste the textbox displayed. Now the zoho account is connected to your Gmail account.
